About Me
Hello, I’m Ayanthi! (eye-YAN-thee)
As an experienced teacher, I am passionate about making education fun, engaging and accessible for all. I obtained an Honours degree in English Language and Linguistics and I began my career in Education as a Teaching Assistant for 2 years, where I was able to support children in class and in small intervention groups to aid their learning. This spurred me on to do my Teacher Training. In 2020, I obtained Qualified Teacher Status after attending the University of Hertfordshire in conjunction with school-based training, and this gave me a deeper insight into running a classroom and catering to various needs.
I spent the next five years leading classes of 30+ children in their learning across Key Stage 2, where I loved getting to know the many different personalities in my class and finding out the best ways to help their learning.
I really enjoyed tailoring lessons and topics to the interests of my class, as it made education much more accessible and interesting for them. Now I want to use my experience and skills to create a tailored education for children in 1-1 and small group settings to help even more children reach their potential.

My teaching approach
I have Qualified Teacher Status and over five years of experience teaching the British Curriculum in Primary Schools across Hertfordshire.
Kindness, patience and adaptability are at the core of my teaching practice and I look to inspire pupils in a safe and engaging space where there is mutual respect, their strengths are celebrated and they are encouraged through any difficulties in their learning. I have a strong subject knowledge across the Primary curriculum and I employ a wide range of teaching methods to create meaningful and student-centred learning experiences.
